The Gang-gang Cockatoo is a small cockatoo with a size of
about 32 to 37cm. The adult male Gang gang's body is slate
gray in color, with an orange to red head, and a floppy
red crest. The adult female Gang gang Cockatoo is mostly
gray in color.
The NSW Scientific Committee, established by the Threatened
Species Conservation Act has listed the Gang-gang Cockatoo
as a vulnerable species.
